FULL TIME PHARMACIST
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a full time highly organised and efficient clinical pharmacist to join Ash Trees Surgery. The post is a varied role working across all sites in North Lancashire and South Cumbria. This is a patient facing role utilising your clinical skills to work alongside other healthcare professionals to:
- prevent, detect and address medicines-related problems and to achieve optimum use of medicines within the practices
- Conduct face to face reviews with patients on multiple medications supporting patients/carers:
- Managing medicines for patients pre/post discharge
- Nursing home ward rounds
- Chronic Disease Clinics
- Medicines optimisation
- See and treat urgent on the day patients with minor illnesses.
- Participate in training and supporting learners in a primary care setting
The successful candidate will have an undergraduate degree in Pharmacy, and registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council and a minimum of 2 years post graduate experience in pharmacy, as demonstrated within a practice portfolio.
The successful candidate will preferably be a prescriber and have an awareness of the breadth of common acute and long term conditions that are likely to be seen in a general medical practice and will be able to provide specialist professional pharmaceutical advice and services to the practices.
Full clean driving licence is preferable due to cross site working.

Salary will depend on experience, and is subject to a period of probation.

PRACTICE NURSE – HOURS NEGOTIABLE
An opportunity has arisen to recruit into our established nursing team. We value positive attitude and team spirit and either experience or aptitude to learn will be considered. We are a semi-rural practice with a patient list of 18,000+, over 5 sites. Our clinical team consists of 14 GPs, 2 pharmacists, 4 advanced nurse practitioners and 4 practice nurses and 7 HCAs. We have an experienced admin team to support the excellent service we provide to our patients. We offer ongoing training opportunities and career progression. We aim to ensure a supportive and safe working environment for the whole practice team.
