The first cervical screening invitation is sent to eligible people between their 24th and 25th birthday. People aged 25 to 49 receive invitations every 3 years. People aged 50 to 64 receive invitations every 5 years . You will be notified when you are next due, and then should make an appointment to see the Practice Nurse. Please tell the Patient Advisor that it is for a cervical smear, as you will be given a longer appointment, to allow plenty of time.
