Throughout pregnancy it is important to be seen regularly to ensure both mother and baby are progressing well. The Community Midwife provides full antenatal services. We encourage you to speak to your Doctor or Midwife for pre-pregnancy counselling before you get pregnant if you are ready to start a family.
You should arrange your first appointment to see the Midwife at approximately six to eight weeks gestation.
Please inform the Patient Advisor that this is a first appointment, as you will need extra time with the Midwife.
Midwives attend Ash Trees Surgery on Tuesday mornings, and Thursday afternoons. They also attend Bolton-le-sands surgery on Monday afternoons and Thursday mornings (Thursdays are specifically for first appointments, which are 45 minutes long)
